I grew up in the heart of The New Forest in the south of England.
“As A professional artist and illustrator, my work is driven by a passion for exploring our human relationship to the natural world. My artistic vision is rooted in a mix of traditional and some ‘not quite so traditional’ media, allowing me to experiment with a wide range of techniques and styles.
I draw inspiration from the beauty of the natural world and how it translates through memory of a moment in time.
My artistic process begins with a moment in nature that captures my attention, whether it be a particular light or shadow, a place, a beautiful flower, or an idea. I then start working out how I will paint it. When i’m ready I go straight to canvas and allow the painting to happen like a journey.
My intention is to create paintings that are both visually striking and emotionally resonant. My goal is to evoke a sense of wonder, curiosity and connection in my audience, and to inspire them to see the world in a new and unexpected way.
Through my work, I aim to explore the beauty of the natural world, while pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in my mediums. I am constantly seeking new ways to challenge myself and my audience, and to create art that is both magical and memorable.
